BC EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM
- The BC Employment Program assists ministry clients in communities throughout B.C. to find and keep jobs through individualized employment services and supports.
- The new program replaced the ministry's Job Placement and Training for Jobs Programs in July 2006.
- Depending on client needs, service providers may deliver a range of services such as self-directed job searches, short workshops on writing resumes, job banks, support costs for work related expenses and short term certificate training, life skills and work experience.
- The BC Employment Program also provides individualized support for clients needing English as a Second Language (ESL) training or Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol services.
- Ministry clients referred to the BC Employment Program by an employment and assistance worker are referred as part of their employment plan.
- Three prime contractors manage employment services for the BC Employment Program working with more than 80 community-based service providers.

- GT Hiring Solutions (2005) Inc., serving:
- South Vancouver Island
- North Vancouver Island
- Vancouver/Fraser (Immigrant and English as a Second Language)
- Interior
- BC Society of Training for Health
&
Employment (THEO BC), serving:
- Vancouver (Mental Health and/or Alcohol
&
Drug)
- WCG International, serving:
- Vancouver (General)
- Fraser (General)
- North West
- Prince George Area
