BC150 Volunteer Incentive Program Grants - overview

BC150 Volunteer Incentive Program grants recognize volunteers' contributions to fundraising events in support of special purposes or projects.
Grant Amount Community organizations and service clubs: up to $5,000
Application
  • One application per organization.
  • Submit application online.
  • Organizations may also apply for Direct Access grants.
Application Period Until August 31, 2009.
Processing Fee None
Processing Time The application process involves two parts:

Part 1
The eligibility of the application will be assessed within 5 business days after receipt of the application.

Part 2
Grant payments will be made 8 to 10 weeks after volunteer contribution information is received (following the approved fundraising event).

How to apply for a BC150 Volunteer Incentive Program grant
Part 1 of the application process (Step 1-4 below):
At this stage of the process the eligibility of the application will be assessed.

Before following any of the steps below, please read the entire table.

After determining your organization is eligible to apply for a BC150 Volunteer Incentive Program grant, review the following important document:

Step 2 Prepare for your application by gathering required information outlined in the:

Completing an application will be faster and easier if you work through this checklist ahead of time.
Step 3 Proceed to the Online Service page to apply for a BC150 Volunteer Incentive Program grant.
Step 4 After completing Step 1-3 above, the eligibility of the application will be assessed within 5 business days after receipt of the application.

Part 2 of the application process (Step 5 below):
After the approved fundraising event has been completed, you must submit information about volunteer contributions supporting the event. The Branch will use this information to determine the value of the grant.
Step 5 Following approval and completion of the fundraising event, the organization must submit the following form outlining volunteer contributions (e-mail to Gaming.Branch@gov.bc.ca):

Grant payments will be made 8 to 10 weeks after volunteer contribution information is received.
