UBrew/UVin Licence

UBrews and UVins are businesses that provide their customers with the ingredients, equipment and advice they need to make their own beer, wine, cider or coolers. Once it's made, UBrew/UVin customers then take their liquor away, for their own private consumption. It cannot be sold to others.

In British Columbia, all UBrews and UVins are required to have a UBrew/UVin licence. Anyone holding a UBrew/UVin licence may choose to specialize in just beer or just wine, or can offer both.

UBrew/UVins may open any time between the hours of 9:00 am and 11:00 pm, Minors are allowed in UBrew/UVin stores if accompanied by a parent or guardian, but may not participate in making the beer or wine.

Please note:

If you are planning to open a business that sells kits, juices or other ingredients for customers to make beer or wine at home, you do not need a UBrew/UVin licence.
