Renewing My Licence

Liquor License

Once you have a liquor licence, you must renew it each year and pay an annual licence fee. See the licence fee schedule (LCLB010) for annual fees.

Eight weeks before your liquor licence is due to expire, we will send the primary owner of your establishment a renewal notice, indicating how much you owe and when it is due.

You may renew your licence manually or online, and we believe you will find the online process faster and more convenient. One-third of licensees renewed their licence online last year. For information on how to sign up for the online service, call our toll-free line at 1 888 544-0443 (or 250 387-9144 if you are calling from Victoria.).

We accept renewal fees up to 30 days after your licence has expired – although if you are late in renewing your licence, we will charge you a $200.00 late processing fee ($50.00 for agents). In addition, you will not be able to place orders for liquor, nor will you be permitted to sell or serve it, during the 30 day grace period.

Beyond 30 days, you will have to apply for a new licence, and pay an application fee and new licence fee.
