DIRECTIONS

Directions from the Airport:

Follow the signs to Vancouver City Center over the Arthur Laing Bridge and onto Granville Street.

• Take Granville north through the city and over the Granville Street Bridge.
• Take the Seymour Street exit off the Granville Street Bridge.
• Follow Seymour Street to West Pender Street and turn left.
• The Learning Centre is at 1050 West Pender, 4 blocks ahead on the left.

Estimated Time: about 35 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

Directions from Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal:

• Follow the signs to Vancouver City Centre via Highway 17 North.
• Highway 17 merges with Highway 99 North. Take Highway 99 through the Massey Tunnel and over the Oak Street Bridge.
• Follow Oak Street up to 41st Avenue and turn left.
• Follow 41st Avenue to Granville Street and turn right
• Follow Granville Street north through the city and over the Granville Street Bridge
• Take the Seymour Street exit off the Granville Street Bridge.
• Follow Seymour Street to West Pender Street and turn left.
• The Learning Centre is at 1050 West Pender, 4 blocks ahead on the left.

Estimated Time: about 45 minutes depending on traffic conditions

From the North:

• Enter the downtown area over the Lions Gate Bridge and through Stanley Park, coming out on Georgia Street.
• Georgia splits into Georgia and West Pender. Veer left onto West Pender.
• The Learning Centre is at 1050 West Pender, 5 blocks ahead on the right.

From the East:

• Follow Highway 1 (Trans Canada) and exit at Hastings Street.
• Take Hastings west through the city and into the downtown area.
• Turn left on Howe Street.
• Turn right on West Pender Street.
• The Learning Centre is at 1050 West Pender, 2 blocks ahead on the left.

To the Airport:

• Go east on West Pender Street.
• Turn right on Howe Street and go over the Granville Street Bridge, veering left onto the Granville Street Exit.
• Take Granville Street south through the city and follow the signs to the airport over the Arthur Laing Bridge and to the terminal.

Estimated Time: about 30 minutes depending on traffic conditions

To Tsawwassen Ferry:

• Go east on West Pender Street.
• Turn right on Howe Street and go over the Granville Street Bridge, veering left onto the Granville Street Exit.
• Take Granville south through the city and turn left on 70th Avenue.
• Turn right on Oak Street and go over the Oak Street Bridge.
• Oak Street turns into Highway 99. Take this through the Massey Tunnel and then take the 2nd exit (Hwy 17) marked "Tsawwassen Ferry". Follow the signs to the terminal.

Estimated Time: about 30 minutes depending on traffic conditions

To Horseshoe Bay (Nanaimo) Ferry:

• Go West on Pender Street.
• Pender Street merges with West Georgia Street.
• Follow Georgia through Stanley Park and over the Lions Gate Bridge.
• On the bridge follow signs to Highway 1 West. Follow the signs to Horseshoe Bay Terminal.

Estimated Time: about 20 minutes depending on traffic conditions

PARKING

There is no free parking available at the Learning Center. If you are driving, you can either park on the street (2 hr limit), or at one of the following paid parking lots in the vicinity:

• 1040 West Pender All Day Parking $17.50 (Early Bird $15.00 before 8:00 am)
• 1078 West Pender (Metro Parking) $11.00 All Day
• 1130 West Pender (Thurlow Pender) $15.00 All Day
• 1133 Melville All Day Parking $12.50 (Early Bird $10.00 before 9:00 am)
• 1138 Melville All Day Parking $12.00 (Early Bird $10.00 before 8:30 am)

OTHER TRANSPORTATION

By Public Transit
Burrard SkyTrain Station is located in the Bentall Centre, next door to the MHSD Learning Centre. Please check the TransLink website for fares and schedules. TransLink - Buses, SkyTrain, SeaBus and West Coast Express

By Float Plane
There are several air services operating out of Coal Harbour in close proximity to the MHSD Learning Center. The terminal for Harbour Air, West Coast Air, and Baxter Air is a five minute walk from MHSD Learning Services. Please see their websites for fares, schedules, and terminal information.
